MORE THAN ENOUGH II

“Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Matthew 10:31 NKJV

There is this saying in local parlance which is ‘problem no dey finish’ and it is simply translated as ‘problems do not end’. We will always encounter different challenges in various aspects of our lives.

When faced with these challenges, our predisposition as human beings is to be anxious. For example, we get anxious about things to come. We get anxious when things are not working out the way we expect.

Yesterday, we talked about how God can take care of our needs. Today, we will let the word of God do the talking. Matthew 6:26-27 says:

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”

From the above scripture, we can see that God cares for the birds of the air who are of less value than human beings. God cares for the birds of the air, and He cares more for us.

See the following verses from 28-33 below:
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Listen, God has never stopped being aware of our needs. He cares for us more than we can think and imagine. He desires for us to seek Him first and know that when we do that all other things will be added to us.

Dear believer, be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6). If God cares about the natural elements around us by paying attention to their littlest detail, how much more we who are created in His image and likeness? (Genesis 1:27).

DO THIS: Trust God over the affairs of your life and seek Him first in everything you do.
