NO FEAR

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Have you wanted to preach the gospel before but held back because you felt you were not qualified or that something could go wrong while preaching? You have been taught to preach and you also know that you are supposed to but somehow you just find it difficult to preach. That is fear!

Fear tells you “you can’t preach the gospel”, “how much of it do you even know?”, “was it not yesterday you got saved and you already want to start preaching?”, “Will anyone listen to you at all” and a million other reasons why you shouldn’t preach the gospel.

If this is you, today is the day you receive boldness. Amen!

The first thing you need to learn is that fear is a lie. That’s not who God has made you, therefore, it is not your reality. Romans 8:15 confirms this about you;
“…You have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as His children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (NLT)

In addition to this, Paul in 2 Timothy 1:7 said to Timothy and us by extension that,
“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV)

You have received the Holy Ghost therefore you are not and can not be a slave to fear. Now that you know this, all you need to do is obey. Look, the preaching of the gospel is not something we do based on our mood. It’s the greatest instruction of our lives because it involves what matters most to God— the salvation of souls (1 Tim 2:4). Therefore we must do it, regardless of how we feel.

The beautiful thing about God is that He doesn’t give you an assignment without helping you, hence the assurance Jesus gave us after He gave us the great commission:
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Matthew 28:18‭-‬20 (NKJV)

He first established a fact— “ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me”; this alone is enough to dispel whatever fear you may have as regards preaching the gospel because the One who has all authority sent you and guess what? He lives in you!

He didn’t stop at letting you know that He has all authority, He went further to assure you that He is with you to the end of the age. If you truly believe that God cannot lie, then you shouldn’t doubt this.

Beloved, God has given you the Holy Spirit and boldness to go and make disciples of all nations, that is, you have been empowered to preach to everyone and anyone regardless of who they are. Fear has no hold on you because God has qualified you and He lives in you.

CONFESSION:
The Greater One lives in me,
Therefore, I am qualified to preach the gospel God is with me till the end of the age
Therefore I go and fear cannot stop me!
