WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL RECAP

WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL RECAP

Welcome to the second weekly devotional recap of the year. This week’s articles encouraged us to live intentionally and cultivate the spiritual habits that will define this new season in our lives.

We began the week with the reminder to intentionally take charge because a new year doesn’t automatically bring new experiences. If your life is going to change, something drastic and external has to happen.

To have a different experience in 2025, you must live purposefully and align your actions with God’s will (Genesis 8:22). Play your part by letting go of limiting things in your past and responding boldly to the prophecies that have gone ahead for the new year.

Tuesday’s devotional challenged us to start the new year with strategic focus by receiving instructions from God and running with them (Habakkuk 2:1). Prophecy is God’s way of aligning our hearts with His plans and equipping us with clarity.

Instead of approaching the year casually, stay in the place of prayer to know what God would have you do per time. When you have received prophecies from God, you can better face whatever challenges the year will bring because you can trust in His faithfulness to fulfill every promise (Hebrews 10:23).

On Wednesday, we were encouraged to take consistent actions toward our goals for the year. Let consistency be your strategy for doing all God has instructed you to do. You will face challenges, but no matter how hard or futile it may seem, keep showing up, and you will see results (Galatians 6:9).

Consistency is the key to seeing prophecies yield results. As you set structures for accountability and progress, remember that you are backed by God’s Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

Thursday’s article taught us that we can and should tend to our faith. Just as gardeners remove weeds and nurture plants, we must actively cultivate an environment that feeds our faith and eliminates distractions (Philippians 4:8). This is because the word of God needs a nurturing environment to take root in your heart and produce the fruits of the Spirit (Luke 8:11-15). What you allow into your life profoundly influences your spiritual growth, so guard your heart from distractions.

We ended the week with a call to embrace supernatural relationships (Proverbs 27:17). God uses relationships to sharpen, guide, and strengthen us to fulfil His purpose, but embracing them requires discernment, humility, and an open heart (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Proverbs 27:17).

This year, pray for the humility to learn, the courage to love, and the wisdom to discern the divine connections that will refine and encourage you in your walk with God.

Dear believer, the foundation you lay at the start of this year is critical. Decide to be intentional about every day of 2025, and it will be your best year yet!

Have a good weekend!

  • Day 15 (Genesis 36-37, Matthew 12:1-21)

We are always encouraged to dream, dream big, and dream high. But what happens when…

  • DEPRESSION STEALS JOY

Feelings of depression often sell a lie to us that we are alone and no one else can understand our pain. However, we have a High priest Who sympathizes with our weaknesses

  • ANXIETY STEALS JOY

One might argue that living an anxious-free life is almost impossible because the cares of life are ever-present. However, this is not so.
