“Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” – Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV)
Imagine a soldier sent to war without his full gear. He would be vulnerable and unprepared. But when he puts on his armour, trained and ready, he knows that winning begins with preparation.
As a believer, you, too, have been called into a spiritual battle. Your fight is not against people, but against principalities, powers, and systems that oppose the truth of God (Ephesians 6:12). The good news is this: God has not left you helpless. He has given you everything you need to stand against the enemy and win.
But here’s the key—God will not put the armour on for you. You must put it on yourself. Just as a kingdom supplies weapons and training for its army, but each soldier must wear his gear, so God has supplied you with all you need. Yet those resources will not help you if left unused. You must deliberately clothe yourself with them every day.
You have authority in Christ, and you must learn to exercise it. Be intentional about standing in truth, living righteously, guarding your peace, building your faith, holding firmly to your salvation, and staying rooted in the Word. The devil is not afraid of a believer unaware of his identity, nor is he threatened by someone who quotes Scripture without conviction. But when you stand fully armed, knowing who you are and whose you are, you become a real threat to darkness.
No part of God’s armour is optional. Each piece matters: truth to keep you grounded, righteousness to guard your heart, peace to steady your steps, faith to shield you, salvation to protect your mind, and the Word of God as your sword (Ephesians 6:14 -17). Together, they make you fully equipped to resist every attack of the enemy.
Dear believer, God has given you all you need to stand strong and win. But you must put on the armour, stand firm, and fight from a place of victory. You were never meant to run from the battle—you were built to win!
