ENFORCE YOUR AUTHORITY

“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”
Acts 10:38 NLT

In superhero movies, a man goes about his everyday life until he has an encounter that gives him superpowers, and then his life is changed forever. A once ordinary man begins to do extraordinary things.

For the believer, salvation is that encounter. When you believe the gospel, you receive the Holy Spirit, and He gives you supernatural abilities (Ephesians 1: 13-14; 17-21). You may look ordinary outside, but you can do extraordinary things by the Spirit (Mark 16:17).

To do so, you need to grow in knowledge. In his letter to the Ephesian church, Paul clarifies that after salvation comes knowledge, specifically understanding your inheritance and the greatness of the power within you (Ephesians 1: 15-22).

Our anchor text speaks of the miraculous power of Jesus, but you must reckon that, as a believer, you are also anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. You, too, can go about doing the supernatural! You have the Holy Ghost dwelling within! You have authority.

Enforce your authority in the place of prayer. Spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. By doing so, you stir up power in the spirit (Ephesians 5:18). When you think about how men like Daniel, Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Nehemiah, and the Apostles walked in power, excellence, and authority, remember their prayer life.

Even Jesus, God as a man, prayed. Why not you? Listen, if you would be a mighty weapon in God’s hands, you must walk in the authority of Christ. You must pray like your life depends on it.

CONFESSION:
I have power and authority because the Spirit of God lives inside of me.
Today, and all the days of my life, do the impossible. I do extraordinary things.
Walking in the supernatural is normal because I have power by the Spirit! Glory To God!
