As believers, our worship to God should be patterned according to God’s expectations of us, which has been shown us in His word. He expects us to present ourselves as living sacrifices by worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.
Exodus 25-26 shows us God’s intentionality in creating an avenue of regular worship for the Israelites. In Exodus 25:8, we see God’s heart in choosing to dwell in the midst of His people. He went ahead to outline the specificities of the ark of covenant and the tabernacle to be built. This foreshadows the man in Christ who through salvation has become God’s tabernacle; His dwelling place.
In the same vein, Matthew 22:1-22 tells us about the parable of the king who invited people to the wedding ceremony of his son but they refused. His invitation to fellowship was then extended to everyone, free for all, not minding status or pedigree. This portrays the rejection of the Gospel by the Jews which gave allowance for the gentiles to be saved (Romans 11:11-15).
To this end, it is important to note that God’s love is extended to the whole world and the requirement is to respond to His call with faith.
Pray: Lord thank you because you see me. Thank you for your gracious invitation into the fold. Help me Lord to walk with you more intimately.

Matthew 22:1-22
And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:

and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.
