ALWAYS LED

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Romans 8:14 NKJV

Leading is a clear-cut direction by the Spirit of God on what to do in your daily life and at every step of your life, while perception is the act of being conscious of something through the senses.

God leads us by an inward witness, desires, the voice of God, giftings, coincidences, moral leadings etc.

We have to understand that leadings and perceptions are intertwined because God leads us through the inward witness. Inward witness, as the name implies, is a leading from within. It is not a clear voice we hear or a vision we see in the day or night.

For example, God can lead you to go into the teaching ministry and He does this by impressing the thought in your heart and making you have a strong nudge about it in your spirit.

In Acts 18:5, Apostle Paul received a nudge in his spirit. See the scripture below:

“When Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.”

From this scripture, we can see that Apostle Paul didn’t hear a voice nor did he have a dream or vision. How was he led to testify that Jesus is the Christ? It simply impressed his spirit.

Another instance of Paul receiving this type of leading is in Act 27:10 when he perceived the voyage would be endangered. He said, “Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”

This explicitly shows that by the Spirit of God within us we can be led supernaturally. We shouldn’t condition our minds to receive the leading of God through the most obvious means because God can lead you how He wants.

The leading of God comes in various ways as we read in the second paragraph. Therefore, instead of God leading you by dramatic guidance, he can simply lead by divine guidance (Job 33:14). Don’t put His leadings in a box. So as you go about praying, studying, and meditating on the word this month, be open to God’s leading however it may seek you.

Dear believer, ‘Leading Seeks You’ You are a child of God who is led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14). It mustn’t be a dramatic encounter before you know you are led by God.

SAY THIS: God can go to unimaginable lengths to get my attention. But He shouldn’t always have to because His Spirit is in me! The Spirit guides my desires and influences my perception. Glory to God!
