“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19 (NLT)
Some believe that because God created a diverse world, He must accept many forms of worship. This view suggests each culture may have its path to the divine. However, Christianity teaches that God defines the way to salvation. As Apostle Peter said in Acts 4:12, salvation is found in no one else but Jesus.
The Gospel must be preached to all people in every nation of the world, as it is the only means of salvation. God has appointed a day to judge the living and the dead by Christ Jesus (Acts 17:31). He commissioned twelve men to reach the nations, and we have billions of people who profess the same faith today. God’s desire for all men is salvation! (1 Timothy 2:4). This agenda to reach the whole world was almost aborted when the early disciples only preached in Jerusalem. It was only through persecution that they were scattered to preach the same message in other places (Acts 8:4). This mandate must be executed even in extreme persecution, as was the case of the believers in Acts 8:1-4. We must embrace the same ambition to reach the world for Jesus today!
You have been made an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) and must represent Jesus Christ and preach the Gospel everywhere. Every avenue and influence you have as a child of God should be used to spread the Gospel. The missionaries from Europe found their way to Africa, and they preached the Gospel relentlessly until some of them died and were buried on the same soil. Today, we see a wave of global migration of believers worldwide. We must see this as an opportunity to reach men everywhere.
You can partner with this global agenda by actively preaching and deploying your creative gifts to reach an international audience. We can shape cultures and policies to aid the spread of the Gospel in the secular world today. Also, you can pray for and financially support ministries and missionaries worldwide (2 Thessalonians 3:2, Philippians 4:15).
Dear child of God, please keep the Great Commission as a top priority. Many people have questioned why the world’s end has not yet occurred. However, the Apostle Peter clarified that God’s patience is intended for everyone’s benefit, so that all may be saved (2 Peter 3:9).). We have the liberty of means if we maintain the purity and originality of the Gospel. How are you getting involved in world evangelisation?
