“My times are in your hands.”
Psalms 31:15 NKJV
Imagine, it was January 1st (a couple of years) BC and God gave Joseph a dream that showed him at the top and had his whole family bowing to him. But by December of that year, Joseph’s brothers had sold him to slavery. What’s more he would go on to encounter major drama with Potiphar’s wife, fellow prisoners betrayal and much more before he eventually saw the manifestation of that dream.
Or imagine that you are David, you have been anointed to become king but now you are a fugitive on the run from the current king.
It might not have looked like God’s promises but surely God had spoken great things of Joseph and David. Both of them at some point would have wondered that this was not how they pictured it coming to reality. In spite of everything, Joseph experienced favour and promotions and David never lost a battle.
So maybe God gave you a word for the year and you received it excitedly. Now, it’s almost the new year and you are yet to see the manifestation. The word may have been that it would be your money year and yet you may have experienced a series of money drama which is almost like “but God said it’s my money year”.
If you have asked yourself such questions or wondered about the manifestation of the prophecy, God’s will for you has not changed. Jeremiah 29:11 explains God’s will for your life. He’s got plans for you and his timing is always perfect.
Therefore, our anchor text helps us with mind renewal as well as strengthened conviction. We must get to the point where we declare that God’s timing for our life is the most perfect. The year 2022 may not have gone as planned but it was still a good year.
Do not start the new year with ingratitude. Thank God for all the testimonies of this year and run with conviction in the new year. Be convinced that God is your Daddy. He’s already at work perfecting all He promised you. Rest on that, be grateful and rejoice! (Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Glory to God!
We have rounded off our Bible Reading Plan for the year. If you are yet to finish, take the rest of the year to catch up. We are cheering you on!
