SET YOURSELF APART

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1NKJV

As we grow in our Christian journey, it should be more evident that we belong to God. As a result of this indisputable fact, we ought to live as people who truly belong to Him. It is described as consecration. It is the setting apart of ourselves for God.

How do we live a life of consecration? By having a vibrant devotional life. We have to be consistent in praying and studying God’s word. We should have seasons of special devotion. We should make it a habit to go out of our way to have a retreat for prayer and study of the word.

Jesus didn’t take prayer to chance because at every point, He never ceased to pray, and through prayers, He aligned Himself to the will of God. (Mark 1:35)

We have to be intentional about spending ample time to fast, pray and study God’s word. By doing this, we cultivate a deeper relationship with God. With an active devotional life, it cannot be challenging to live for God.

Don’t go a day without praying or studying the word. Prioritize your time spent with God. Let your consecration to God be discernible by others. Let it inspire your actions and motives. It should show in the decisions you make and the steps you take to fulfill your purpose.

A mark of living a life of consecration is an earnest desire to make Christ known to as many people as possible. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19), so our sole responsibility is to reconcile men back to God by intentionally spreading the Gospel and getting men saved.

CONFESSION: I live a life of consecration. Praying and studying the word is normal in my life. I am committed to the will of God for my life. I submit myself to the purposes of God.
