YOU CAN WORK MIRACLES!

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”
Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV

Many of us have a favorite superhero whose superpowers we probably wish we had. Perhaps you wish you could fly or have X-ray vision like Superman. Maybe you have coveted Captain America’s extraordinary abilities.

Since these characters are works of fiction, it might not be possible for any human to possess superpowers like that. However, did you know that you can do something similarly amazing? What if you were told that you could work miracles?

For a while now, we have been studying the gifts of the Spirit and how we can walk in them. It is worthy of note that the gift of miracles is not an exception to this statement. The Holy Spirit in you gives you the power to do the miraculous (Acts 1:8).

We see Biblical accounts of how Jesus performed miracles and blessed everyone who came His way (Matthew 8:5-13, Mark 2:3-12, John 9:1-7). He went about healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons (Acts 10:38). As a believer, you can do the same!

You see, in Christ, we don’t just have a message to believe, but also an example to emulate. This means that if He did it, you also can do it (John 14:12). Just like Peter who saw Jesus walk on water and then do the same and he did, you also—through the Holy Spirit in you—can do the miraculous.

Therefore, your first response to negative events and circumstances isn’t worry, fear, or panic. Because you know you have the power of God to bring change to situations, this should be your call to action. So, when someone is sick around you, you can minister to them. When someone is afflicted by demons, you can cast them out in the name of Jesus. You can shine the light of God in dark circumstances.

This wonderful gift of miracles is not for a few chosen people, it’s for all believers. Like our anchor scripture says, is there anything too hard for God? Absolutely not. So, while you might not be Superman, you can soar on the wings of the Spirit. You have been graced to perform wonders.

Brethren, walk in this reality today. That God can do mighty things by His power at work in you. If you’re believing for a miracle, don’t stop. All things are possible with God, and He can work with you!
