TELL THE WORLD!

“The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’ Then they went out of the city and came to Him.”– John 4:28-30 (NKJV)

Imagine a global welfare program designed to eradicate poverty. Anyone who signed up would instantly receive a million dollars—no strings attached. All you had to do was accept the offer. You wouldn’t keep that news to yourself. You’d tell your family, your friends, even total strangers, because you know how much it would change their lives.

Now think about salvation. Jesus didn’t just offer financial relief—He gave eternal life. He paid the price for your sins, died your death, and through His resurrection brought you into a new life and reconciliation with God. That’s far more valuable than anything this world could offer. It’s not something to whisper about; it’s something to proclaim with boldness and joy.

That’s exactly what the Samaritan woman did in our anchor text. The moment she encountered Jesus and realised who He was, she didn’t hesitate. She left her waterpot, ran into the city, and spoke to the very people she had been avoiding, urging them to come and see Him. That’s what happens when the reality of salvation truly hits you- joy rises, fear fades, and you can’t help but proclaim the gift of God. Even if, like Saul, you once stood in protest, the moment you encounter Jesus, everything changes (Acts 9:20).

Sharing the Gospel is one of the truest expressions of your love for God. When you love someone, what matters to them becomes important to you. The Bible makes it clear that God desires that all men be saved so this should be important to you too (1 Timothy 2:3–4). Your love for God should drive you to tell others about Jesus, because people can only believe when they hear the truth (Romans 10:9-14).

Furthermore, Jesus commands you to share the Gospel. Before ascending to heaven, He charged His disciples, and by extension, you,  to take the Gospel to the whole world (Mark 16:15). Listen, the moment you received Jesus as Lord and Saviour, you also received a new identity as His ambassador. As His representative on earth, it is now your responsibility to reflect Him and help others find their way back to Him (2 Corinthians 5:18–20).

Dear Believer, don’t hide the gift of salvation. Be bold about the Gospel. Jesus came to save you and the world. Let this love compel you to share Him with the world.
