IT IS POSSIBLE!

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith” – 1 John 5: 4 NLT

Let’s talk about predictability. Remember your first time at driving school? The predictable outcome was that once you got behind the wheel, you would eventually drive. No matter what you’d read or heard, it wasn’t enough until you experienced it. Similarly, when clouds gather, we can predict rain. In the same way, in a life of faith, knowledge, and bravery, the predictable outcome is victory!

As believers, the outcome of our authority in Christ is certain and predictable. Jesus told the disciples and by extension all followers of Christ, the predictable outcome of believing in him (Mark 16: 17-18). However, what is possible in Christ becomes more apparent when there is knowledge. This is why Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus to be filled with revelation knowledge (Ephesians 1: 15-18).

Recognising that we are children of God, seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, we know that just as He is so are we in this world. We see the example of Peter and John expressing the knowledge of who they are and what they have to bring about deliverance for the man at the gate called Beautiful (Acts 3:6-8).

As our anchor scripture posits, we have overcome the evil in this world through our faith. Our faith in the power of God working by the Holy Spirit gives us confidence. There is no barrier or hindrance to what we can achieve, surmount and overcome because of the authority we have. Jesus told the disciples that they would be witnesses unto Him in Judea till the ends of the earth.  This seemed like such a huge task but when they received the Holy Spirit, they over-achieved (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:8).

Now that we know what we have, it requires bravery to exercise the knowledge of what we have believed. Apostle Peter exercised this when he took the first step to come to Jesus (Matthew 14:29). Also, we see Jesus encouraging the disciples to take authority in changing circumstances. (Mark 11:23). We see another example in the woman with the issue of blood. She took that brave step believing that if she touched the hem of Jesus’s garment she would be made whole.

Brethren, God has given us everything we need to live a faith-filled life. (2 Peter 1:3). We must abominate any mindset that causes us to think we are limited or to accept defeat. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus and we must operate from this understanding at all times.

SAY THIS: Nothing is impossible unto me. By my faith in Christ Jesus, I exercise authority over circumstances. The possibilities of God have become my possibilities.
