GOD HAS A WORD FOR YOU

“I will hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.” — Psalm 85:8 NKJV

There are moments in devotion when your heart becomes aware of a quiet stirring, a gentle nudge that God wants to say something specific to you. It may not come loudly, but you sense it: a soft awareness, a holy invitation. You open your Bible not out of routine, but with a deep inner assurance that God is present and ready to speak.

And truly, He is present and ready to speak. “The entrance of Your words gives light, and it gives understanding to the simple.” — (Psalm 119:130, NKJV)

God’s Word brings fresh understanding for each day. That is why the same scripture you have read many times can suddenly shine with new meaning. That is why a verse you didn’t pay much attention to initially can settle your heart, calm your thoughts, or bring tears to your eyes. The Bible itself has not changed; rather, God has chosen that moment to minister to you in a special way.

This is the beauty of devotion. When you come with an open heart, God responds with a timely word: a word for guidance, a word for strength, a word for clarity, a word that speaks directly to your situation. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” — (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV)

In devotion, God is not distant, silent, or passive. He is intentional, attentive, and always speaking. To receive His word, pause long enough to listen. Sit quietly after reading, and let the Word settle into your spirit. Write down what rises in your heart. These gentle impressions and highlighted scriptures are often His voice.

Even on days when you do not feel anything, remember that God’s presence is not measured by emotion but by His promise. His love for you is constant, His word toward you is faithful, and His voice is never far from a listening heart.

Today, as you enter devotion, come with assurance that your Father has something to say to you. Lean in with expectation. God has a word for you.
