PREPARE FOR TESTIMONIES

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” ‭I John‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The moment a woman discovers she is pregnant, she begins to prepare everything her baby will need. She buys clothes, arranges the nursery, and gets ready because she is sure the child is coming. That is what faith looks like when you are expecting a testimony. You know that God can be trusted, so you can begin to prepare for the miracle.

There are certain things you must do when preparing for a testimony. You prepare to receive what you have asked for because you know the character of the One who promised. Preparation shows that you trust God, that you believe He hears you, and that you are confident He will answer according to His will (1 John 5:14-15). So how can you prepare for your testimony?

One way you prepare is by meditating on the Word. Stir up your faith by filling your heart with what God has said. Search the Scriptures concerning what you are believing for. If you are trusting for healing, fruitfulness, direction, or favour, go to the Word and anchor your heart in God’s promises. Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). The more you hear it, the more you believe it, and the more prepared you become to receive it.

Next, prepare your environment. You cannot expect to receive in an atmosphere of doubt. Remove yourself from spaces that weaken your faith and silence voices that speak unbelief. Fill your mind with testimonies that strengthen your expectations. Be intentional about what you watch, listen to, and meditate on.

You must also prepare yourself to walk in your testimony. Just like an expecting mother does not wait for the baby to arrive before preparing, you also must begin to act in alignment with what you are praying for. That could be learning a skill, submitting an application or getting documents ready. Your preparation shows that you believe God will fulfil His word.

Lastly, cultivate thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the believer’s posture of confidence. You thank God because you know His character. The Bible instructs you to give thanks in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Thanksgiving shifts your focus from the waiting to the certainty of God’s promise

.Dear believer, preparation is the language of faith. Believe that God has heard you, and get ready to walk in your testimony.
