“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6 (NKJV)
Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘All religions lead to God’? How can religions with conflicting beliefs about God, salvation, and eternity all be right? This is where the Church steps in; we stand as a pillar of truth, showing that salvation and true knowledge of God can only be found in Christ.
We live in a world that celebrates unity, coexistence, and shared values. It is true that different religions may have overlapping moral teachings, but similarity does not necessarily equate to truth. As a follower of Christ, you are called to share this truth with both love and courage. In the key scripture, Christ reveals the profound truth that He is the only way to the Father.
Christianity is not just another religion. While many religions speak of humanity’s effort to reach God, in Christianity, God reaches down to save you through His Son, who died for your sins (1 Timothy 2:5, 2 Timothy 3:16 ). Your faith rests on this foundation. Reflecting on it should shape the way you interact with people of other religions.
In today’s society, there is constant pressure to make the message of Christ sound more inclusive or acceptable to popular opinion. Yet, truth is not determined by what is widely accepted. We proclaim the gospel because we know what God has done for us in Christ Jesus, and how vital it is for all people to receive this gift of salvation. This is why it matters to speak what God has said, rather than what people may prefer to hear. (Romans 1:16)
When reaching out to people of other religions, always remember to do so with love. The Church stands for the truth and longs for their salvation (Romans 10:1). Your mission is to make known that salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. With love and humility, you are called to point a lost world to the one true God, fulfilling Christ’s command to ‘go and make disciples of all nations.’ (1 Peter 3:15, Matthew 28:19).
Dear believer, remember that you are a point of influence to those of other religions. God has placed you where you are so that you can point them to the only way to God, which is Christ. Trust His Spirit to guide you as you shine His light with love and boldness.
