Read More →Solid friendships are always worth treasuring. We all long for friends who are consistently there for us. In moments of difficulty or when we need support, there’s often that one friend who immediately comes to mind, and they rarely let us down.
Imagine someone who doesn’t have much money claiming that they are restraining themselves from spending lavishly. It sounds like a lie because we cannot test one’s prudence in spending unless such a person has in abundance.
To test their children’s self-control, parents sometimes place tempting snacks in front of them and ask them to wait before eating. The goal is to see how well they can delay gratification. When the children succeed, it brings the parents joy and satisfaction.
Kindness can be likened to a candle flame in a darkened room; it appears small in stature but mighty in impact. Kindness is more than being nice; it is an intentional decision to extend grace, mercy, and compassion, especially when it is undeserved.
Have you ever been faced with the decision to help someone who hurt you deliberately? Probably a co-worker who took credit for a project you spent sleepless nights on. Or that person who decided to tarnish your reputation because you chose to walk away from the relationship. It is tempting to repay them for what they did, but as a child of God, you are called to a higher standard.
