Welcome to the 47th weekly devotional recap of the year. This week, through different verses in Philippians 2, we were reminded that the Christian life is a Spirit-enabled transformation that reflects Christ to the world.
Month: November 2025
Over the past month, we have looked at how we must conduct ourselves as believers in different aspects of our lives. As a result, there can be the temptation to look to yourself, exerting more willpower to do these things. This should not be the case.
When an ambassador is sent to a foreign land, he does not go to pursue his own interests or agenda. His primary mission is to represent his nation well. Even if he has personal desires, he sets them aside to follow the protocol of the country that sent him.
In today’s world, humility is often mistaken for weakness. It isn’t. It is strength under God’s control. Like a powerful horse submitting to a skilled rider, true humility is when your gifts, ambitions, and abilities are disciplined and directed by God’s authority.
One thing many companies take very seriously is how people see them. This is why the public relations (PR) department is set up to manage public perception as well as maintain a positive image of the organisation.

Every role and platform we occupy is a divine stewardship and a trust from God. We must manage them with humility and integrity, remembering that leadership in God’s kingdom is about service, not power.
When you cook, you don’t keep salt aside to protect it from the food. You add it in because that is when it becomes effective. The salt does not lose its flavour or identity; instead, it transforms everything around it.
As we have seen in Daniel’s life, excellence is a powerful tool that can open doors and attract attention. While favour may come once in a while, excellence ensures a consistent stream of opportunities.
Every position, no matter how small or how prestigious, is not a personal achievement but a divine stewardship. You are placed there on purpose, for a purpose.
