When the importance of purpose is taught, many focus on purpose being the very thing that you want to live for, something you choose to commit all your life to. However, purpose is not only defined as what you live for but also what you can die for.

Apostle Paul’s life of purpose is evident as he was ready to die for the gospel. Despite several prophetic warnings of impending suffering and imprisonment, he was unwavering in the face of danger and opposition and remained resolute in his commitment to preach the gospel. His determination is rooted in his steadfast commitment to fulfilling God’s will.

On the other hand, Moses, in Deuteronomy 29-30, reminds the Israelites of the importance of faithfulness to their covenant with God. He warns them of the consequences of breaking this covenant but also offers hope and restoration to those who return to the Lord. These passages emphasize the importance of deliberately following God and His commandments.

Therefore, we are encouraged to keep trusting in God’s sovereignty as we carry out His will, regardless of the consequences. By doing so, we demonstrate our love and devotion to God.
