GO WITH GOD!

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)

The beginning of a new year is like standing at the edge of a vast ocean, the view both inviting and uncertain. For some, the promise of new beginnings sparkles like sunlight on the water; for others, the depths beneath seem daunting. Yet, as believers, we are assured that we never embark on this journey alone. Just as a ship relies on the steadfast guidance of a lighthouse, we have the unwavering presence of God to direct our course through the unknown.

To “go with God” means to step into the journey with full confidence in His power and backing. Scripture overflows with reminders of His faithfulness. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous as he went on his journey of leadership (Joshua 1:9). Although Joshua faced daunting battles, he triumphed because he relied on God’s strength and guidance.

Furthermore, God’s protection is all-encompassing. In Ephesians 6:10-17 (NKJV), Paul describes the armour of God—a divine provision that equips us to stand firm against the challenges of life. Notably, the armour lacks a backpiece.

Why?

Because God Himself is your backing. He stands behind you, covering every weakness and shielding you from unseen dangers.Going with God also means trusting His timing and methods, even when they differ from your expectations. The Israelites at the Red Sea faced what seemed like an impossible situation. Yet, when they moved forward in obedience, they witnessed God’s miraculous power (Exodus 14). Their story shows that God’s backing is not just passive support—it is active intervention.

However, God’s presence doesn’t exempt you from challenges. Trials will come, but they are never wasted. Psalm 46:1 describes God as “a very present help in trouble.” This means that even in difficulty, He is actively involved, providing strength, comfort, and guidance. As we embark on this year, the call is clear: go again, but don’t go alone. Move forward with the assurance that God’s presence surrounds you, His strength sustains you, and His promises hold.

You have nothing to fear because you’ve got God’s backing. Whatever lies ahead, you can face it confidently, knowing the Creator of all things is with you.
