Day 32 February 1st,  2025 (Exodus 27-28, Matthew 22:23-46)

As we go through the scriptures, it is important to study from the lens of God’s love as the bible solely revolves around love.

In Matthew 22:23-46, the teachers of the law being legalistic could not see the common theme in the law given to them by Moses. They were so concerned about self-righteousness that they missed the most important aspect of the law which is love; love for God and love for people.

On the other hand, Exodus 27-28 shows the instructions given to Moses regarding the building of the altar for burnt offerings, continuous burning of the lampstand, court of tabernacle and the priesthood of Aaron.

God chose Aaron and his sons to be priests in his presence. They were instructed to be clothed in garments which include a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash to exude glory and beauty to God. Thereafter, Aaron and his sons were able to minister to God and serve as mediator between God and the Israelites.

The good news now is, through salvation, the believer can now approach God without the need of a priest

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the priceless gift of salvation.

Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.
